Na een succesvolle afronding van de studie bedrijfseconomie was de stap naar het beginnen van een snackbar dan ook niet groot. Met een groot aantal jaren horeca ervaring in de rugzak werd er samen met een compagnon van deze uitdaging achter de frituur een groot succes gemaakt.
Toch kroop het bloed waar het niet gaan kan en werden de patatten verlaten om na een reis om de wereld in het fotografie avontuur te duiken. Reeds een hobby voor enige jaren.
Tegenwoordig ben ik samen met mijn vrouw Femke en onze geweldige dochter Lena woonachtig in Leeuwarden waar ik samen met enkele andere creatievelingen een opbloeiende fotostudio run.
Fotografie zie ik als een onderzoeksmedium. Een kans om samen met de klant tot een productioneel sterk en fris concept te komen. Hierbij laat ik graag mijn eigen creativiteit en stijl zien. Met het doel een indrukwekkend, uniek en vooral ook persoonlijk beeld te maken.
After completing a degree in business and with many years of experience in hospitality, it seemed like a small step to opening my own eatcorner. My business companion and I had a lot of fun and success in baking French fries. But, after ten years of frying and a big trip around the world, I decided to step into the fascinating world of photography, a hobby for many years.
The city of Leeuwarden is my home base, where I live with my wife and our beautiful daughter Lena. Its also the place where I run an upcoming photo studio with a couple of other creative people.
Photography to me is like a research medium. A chance to work together with the client in producing a strong and fresh concept. A chance to express my own creativity and style in creating an impressive, unique and most of all, a personal image. Always with the wishes and demands of the client in mind.
My images reflect the encounters I had with people and cultures in the past years and hopefully will meet in the years to come.
